Information for Undergraduate Students
Our institute cooperates with the University of Potsdam as well as universities in Berlin to provide lectures, seminars, and practical courses for students as part of their curricula. Furthermore, we offer Molecular Plant Physiology courses conducted in our facilities. These two-week hands-on courses are usually offered during the winter break and are designed to acquaint students with molecular biology techniques such as genomic DNA analysis, RNA analysis, PCR, metabolite analysis, and plasmid DNA analysis.
Student project work
Undergraduate students are also most welcome to apply for Masters thesis or undergraduate student project work. The research groups in our institute carry out research in various areas, including plant biochemistry, applied chemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. To learn about potential projects in any of these areas, contact the leaders of the research groups you are interested in.
