Abstract
Plants demonstrate an impressive capacity to acclimate, and this ability hinges on coordinated proteolysis to reshaping the proteome and maintaining proteostasis, particularly under stressful conditions. Central to this process is ubiquitin-mediated signalling, which orchestrates intracellular transport and facilitates vacuolar degradation through endocytic and autophagic pathways, in addition to the widely recognized proteasomal pathway. I will discuss how interplay between distinct types of cellular signalling activate feedback loops, regulating response dynamics and possibly determining signal identity.
