Molecular Genomics

Dr. Wolf-Rüdiger Scheible
New position: Professor, Nobel Foundation, USA

The group of Dr. Wolf-Ruediger Scheible is interested in understanding the effects of macronutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus upon the plant as a whole and at all levels. Signal transduction pathways and molecular components that plants require to adapt to macronutrient stresses are investigated. Using forward and reverse genetics, genomic tools and physiological analysis, the group studies these processes in Arabidopsis thaliana and other plant species.
