Main Focus

I am currently working at Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Potsdam. The aim of my work is to discover cAMP signalling mechanism in plants but also novel signaling mechanisms in stress signaling. In our group, we are using novel techniques including affinity purification (using cAMP as a bait), size exclusion chromatography (SEC), thermal protein profiling (TPP) and binding assays (Nanotemper Technology) to study small molecule-protein interactions. Recently we identify 2',3'-cAMP as molecule promoting Stress Granules formation via interaction with Rbp47b. New direction of my research is to identify the composition of stress granules in plants in terms of proteins and metabolites.
